Chapter 5: Exploration at the Light Tower

The story begun as the day shined with the bright sun after a rainy day passed previously. It started with a decision to get some inquiries about the venue of the coming up gathering, which is the A' Famosa Resort. Since the day is sunny, and going out just to ask about the resort could make this boring travel more boring, so I thought that having another exploration on a nearby point of interest is a good thing to do. With this sudden decision, and so I set foot on my journey with Blackie and dear deer~

On the way to get the inquiries, I realized all the bungalow villas in the resort are not managed under one management. They are separated according to the positions and the rooms in a bungalow. So I visited 3 parts of the resort and what I get after these visits is to call to the headquarter in Kuala Lumpur, as they don't let their customers to do future booking in-situ. This is a pretty new method I see people manage a resort. I amazed.

After getting out from the resort, I let Blackie, once again, lead me to the next destination-Rachado Cape, the historical hill with historical light tower. At first the journey quite surprising for me, again, as Blackie this time led me to my destination through village area and palm oil tree plantation area. But after being told by my mother, I realize that the road I taken is just the usual road for anyone who wants to go to Port Dickson (Rachado Cape is situated next to Port Dickson). I took 2 beautiful scenery photos along the road, despite the day, the sky, and the cloud are so amazingly attractive, with each of them contrasting each other's characteristics. I think maybe this is because the sky had been washed by a series of rainy days.

After reaching the destination, I thought any visitor who wants to reach to the light tower should walk along the jungle track (almost similar to the track of Tampin Hill). After seeing somebody drove their car on the track, I thought maybe I could just follow the way they used, although it is illegal according to the signboard stood there. Not to mention about the hotels there. they are so amazing beautiful when looked from front, but also amazingly not-so-beautiful from the back.

Along the track I saw a group of visitors coming down from the hill. Seeing the way they looked at me, I thought maybe they were thinking that "this is not fair!", as they thought the track only open for walkers, not drivers, but after a hard journey going up and down the hill, they saw a weird guy driving a small car going up the hill, and realized that the rules stated below there is actually just a shit. Nevermind it, it's just some of my thoughts and imaginations.

When I reached to the hill, and when I saw that pure white light tower, contrasted with blue sky, white cloud and greeneries around it, I just want to say that "this is just like being in Greece!!" (although Greece doesn't have these much of greeneries) So I took out Blackie and took as many scene as possible on the hill. Going up to the light tower is just a normal journey for me, as the view already shown in my eyes while I'm at it's foot. But when you turn to the back of the tower... "WOW!", just like what they said when they promote Microsoft Windows Vista. The sea view, captured by the trees and tall grass on the top, is really something new to me (not to mention "surprise" also).

Rachado Cape is actually the best spot to view various raptors that usually not seen in Malaysia. They came during March and September, if I'm not mistaken, and so those birdwatchers from all over the country. The reason why I want to go there at this time is because that I planned to go there another time in the coming March. Now I want to explore a little bit in order the next time I go will be more familiar with the surrounding. If anyone want to go into the light tower, a special letter should be obtained first from dunno-where-is-it place, as there is a special signboard stood there saying this rules. So this time, I don't have the chance to get into the light tower. They said that looking at the sea while on the top of the light tower in a nice weather, you actually can see the Malaysia's neighbor-Indonesia. Since I can't get into the tower, then I have no chance in getting a single photo from there.

After the fantastic view at the top of the hill, I travel down the hill and turned to the small road, which to my amaze, lead me to the sea side, or in other word, beach. Again, to my amaze, the smell of the sea is really... it's like there is somebody cooking a soup which 80% of the ingredient is of fishes, seaweeds etc., while there are still crowds in the sea. Yucks... Anyway, the sand of the beach is quite fine. Since there are a lot of rubbish and trash along the beach, I really don't like to suggest this beach to anyone, unless they want to see how it really looks like and feels like when standing in such a beach.

After the whole journey here, I continued my way to Jusco in Seremban 2, in order for me to fill up dear deer at the petrol station along the road, while I could have a chance to search for the latest book from J K Rowling. When I reached there, I was amazed again, as Jusco had started to collect entrance fee from their customers with RM 1 per entrance. Anyway, lucky to me, the entrance fee doesn't make itself a waste to me, as I found the book I want there, and also a magazine published by PAM.

The whole journey is considered a fruitful journey. This is because I took so many white and blue photos that could let me create a beautiful collage out from Google Picasa 3 Beta version. I really like it and have made it as my desktop wallpaper. Besides, I also got the latest book from J K Rowling, which I have been long to have one (although it's just published a few days ago). As the conclusion, this is also considered another success journey for me.

p/s: Finally, now I can map my photos on Google Maps and share it right here. Thanks to Google.^^

Chapter 4: A Walk under the Horns

After finished the Dung Plus Ass final exam, I decided (with tide in my heart and blood) to go to the Horns of Malaysia, KLCC, to buy the book that I have been long aiming for, while getting a chance to make Blackie's map really useful. Wakaka~

But before that, I have to wait for my friend, as she had reserved some Kuih Batik for me (she made some to let us eat after one of us bought a Kuih Batik at the college students organized Entrepreneur Society Event that tasted awfully bad to them but ok to me...). So I followed a bunch of the other friends here to go to have their so-called "breakfast" first. Until they had done, I followed the friend to her apartment to get my kuih, with her little brother, namely Ah Kid, who came that Sunday handling the tupperware to me. After I got the kuih, and so the journey begin~

I set the GPS to lead me on roads that don't pass through the toll, as the money I brought is not meeting the requirement. So the journey really amazed me because Blackie led me into several Taman and then, suddenly, KL is in front of my eyes. Good job, Blackie! Although the journey full of bends and curves, it still made me enjoying, as there are several roads I had drive through during those site visit, including Cheras Mahkota and Damai Perdana. Unforgettable.

After reaching KLCC, I tried to find a place, more specifically, McD, to settle my absolute hollowed stomach. Unfortunately, the food court I was searching is not there anymore (or maybe it still there and I lost in KLCC). So, Plan A changed to Plan B, I went to find my book first.

I knew I would lost, again, in this Kinokuniya. So, I utilized the kiosk there to get the map for my book (not with my Blackie. He also not familiar with this place). But getting the map is also a useless method because the bookstore is quite special in its design. So I walked around the place first to get familiar with the space. Finally, I found the book, located on a bookshelve, of course. But after further exploration in the level (the book located at higher level in the bookstore), the book I was searching for is actually everywhere there, and it is placed on those big tables which really looks invisible to a new comer. Since I can get a 30% discount on the book I took, and so I try my best to find another book which also could give me another 30% discount on itself while retain its price around RM 30. I looked everywhere in the store just to find such book. There are so many books that I really interested, especially at the Japanese Section, a book which teaches how to sketch your journey while you are travelling abroad. But look at the price, RM 70++ with no special discount. So I think the only thing I can do to this book is to wait for it to become old enough to have lower price. Haiz...

Anyway, the Emperor wouldn't let those ambitious down (whichever Emperor who is good enough la). Finally I found another new book which met my conditions. And so I paid the book as quickly as I can as I had stayed there for about 2 and a half hours (amazing...). Then I walked around again to search, again, my point of interest to have my late lunch. Still, I couldn't find the place. Under this condition, I have no choice but to simply get a meal at the food court I found there which is not the one I was looking for, with this speghetti anglio olio...

After the meal, another surprise was found at the Autopay kiosk (for me la). The total parking fee for a 3 hours is RM 8.00! Nice! I can get another meal at KLCC already with this expense (without taxed).

Talk about the way back home. First, I almost unable to get home with my Blackie exhausted after leading me from Mantin to KLCC. Fortunately, Blackie is as tough as steel reinforced concrete. Finally I was able to successfully reach to Kajang with no obstacles, only that Blackie just left 1 live. Next is a traffic accident occured in Seremban, which I was luckily able to get some photo at the scene.

While on my way home, I found that my friend's Kuih Batik is quite helpful too, as it capable to help settle my "once again absolute hollowed" stomach.

At around 8.00 p.m., I finally reached home, with all my "spoils of war" that cost me not more than my RM 80.00 budget. This is really another surprise for me because I am able to buy things that cost me less than normal price in Kinokuniya while meeting my taste. So, this journey is considered success!

p/s: It seems like I unable to show my journey anymore here as Blackie unable to survive more than 2 hours while helping me to record my journey with Sports Tracker. Maybe after viNe released I will continue to do this (if it could reduce the power usage). Another sad thing is that I unable to find a photo sharing website that could let me share my geotagged photo everywhere with unlimited storage while cost me nothing. So, I will stick to Picasa Web Album first before the limit is reached. ^^

Chapter 3: Roaming Around In The City Of History

As planned, I decided to have a simple trip to the city of history, again. This time, it's only me, my dear Deer and my little Blackie roaming around this story-ful city.

The road to the city was very merrying, as we was accompanied with the African music, named African Playground by Putumayo, collected two years ago which i was planning to play it on the travel to Redang, which subsequently unsuccessful. Now, the music had played its role, which I am very proud of it. ^^

There are several destinations planned on this trip: Dataran Pahlawan, which there is Games, Animations and Mangas Exibition, i.e. GAMEX organized there for three days; The Stadhuys, which I had been thinking to go there to have a look inside; the Melaka River Cruise, which was failed to have a seat on it; and the Jonker Walk, which i planned to have some more photos there.

But, things always change (isn't it?). I successfully went to the GAMEX and the Stadhuys (disappointed to the GAMEX as no REAL GAMES are exibited, and happy + sad to the Stadhuys as the content of it is satisfying and my little Blackie had faint). For the other two, the cruise could be very boring if by one person and the day is still early for the Jonker Walk to start. So, I unable to fulfill all the objectives planned. -.-

Anyway, I still manage to get into some unexpected places with some fun in it. First, I get into a museum without pay when I finished a visit to the Islamic exibition near the A' Famosa. I sneaked up to the building as there was nobody looking after the counter. I never knew that there is such a museum up in the building we always see around the A' Famosa (I forgot the building's name. It's all white with its brick wall exposed at the back). So when I found it, I really amaze about it and the view from up there is very nice.

Second, I found out there is an old residence which open for everyone to have a peak inside how the old Melaka Residence looks like. It really open up my mind on how can a building built. Whoever never know how an old, traditional Melaka Residence looks like inside it, I highly suggest this one (as the same, I forgot the name).

I think that's all for the good things I found in this trip. Now, the bad thing I got during this nice trip. When I had finished a visit to the Malaysia Democratic Museum (a nice building with wrong function in it), I planned to walk to the St. Paul Church from another white museum near there (forgot what museum it is). When I nearly reach to the museum, someone called me at the back. To show how polite I am, I returned back to where he is and what I got from this "bra-der" is his intimidation which only suitable for small children: You cannot got there. Later the policeman would catch you. Am I look like a children? When you tell the other "Centaur" you were so polite. When talk to me? Like I am a Paleolithician and just scold you "Gao-Gao" la? Spoiled my trip.

Anyway, again, the overall of this trip is still very satisfying, although my little Blackie faint on the half way, which makes me unable to take more photo for the Stadhuys and the evening condition od the GAMEX. To make more fun on the coming trip, I planned to go to Ayer Keroh by the coming Saturday, with a little more detailed. Feel free to look forward to it.

Subsequently, again, I recorded my trip through GPS and now I would like to show its power, again, here. Take a look at it.

Chapter 2: In The City Of History

Whoever in Malaysia sure know this place: Melaka, the Town of History. (But I prefer "city" rather than "town", it,s getting better. So below here "city" is used)

-----xxxxx-----

As the day started, I rode my usual Mouse Deer to Tampin, the Town of Swallows, to give some mechanical check ups for my dear deer. As the check ups done, both of us ran to Beautiful Garden in the Town of Swallows to fetch Poisoned Swallow as planned, that is to have a swim in the Bluish Pool of City of History, i.e. swimming pool.

We actually planned to have a movie after swimming (Eagle Eye). But I think better we have a trip to some special places in this city which we never been to. So we canceled the movie and planned the destinations. We planned to go to the Istana, the newly re-placed Eye of Malaysia, the cruise trip on River of Melaka and the Jonker Walk. Unfortunately for Eye of Malaysia and the cruise trip, we unable to go. First, the Eye only started to open on 7th November (source: my brother) and second, the cruise has too many students there (9 buses total), and they don't want to sell the ticket unless the students finished their cruises.

Well, that's ok. At least we still able to go to the Istana and the Jonker Walk, and additionally, Dataran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade. Not sure how Poisoned Swallow think, but I like the trip to the Istana and the Jonker Walk. For the Istana, it's my first time to go there, where we just used RM 1.00 for each person with our beloved student card. For the Jonker Walk, it's my first time too to park the car next to the river, i.e. another parking area which mostly my family won't use. Moreover, I've got the first chance to get our trip tracked and, again, photos geotagged.

Overall, I'm quite satisfy for this day.

p/s: Again, here goes to map with photos and trip track integrated. Unfortunately, free account of Flickr doesn't allow me to publish more than 20 photos outside the website, i.e. on Google Maps. So I'll just put the photo slide show from Flickr here too. ^^

Chapter 1: The Continued

This the third blog of mine...=.=|||

I know this is not a good sign. It feels like I'm a flower heart guy.
But I'm still new to blogging (i think la). Trying every blog system to see which fits me is my task. ^^

I tried Live Space at 1st, while I'm still in high school, and it ends up being abandoned due to not many of my friend can involve in internet.

Second, I tried Multiply, which I got from 1 of my RO friend. first I see the system is quiet good with its very easy "drag and drop" photo upload system. But after some time, when opening the photo posted, it feels slow. In the mean time, most of my friends started to get involved in internet surfing (after graduation of high school life) and also started to use Live Space to share their life. Because of that, I started to change back to Live Space.

Now, after I got my new phone with geotag functionality, I decided to share my geotagged photo in blog. But after some searching, I knew that Google Maps is the easiest mapping system that people can interact with it while embedded in a blog system. In the same time, I found out that Live Space doesn't support the iframe system, which Google Maps featured for users to embedded their own map in their blog.

So, I opened this third blog, to make sure I can share my photo on a map in my blog.

Finish talking about introduction of this blog. Today I wan to share a few photos taken at my grandmother's house. Today it's her 80th birthday. We are having a small celebration for her.

This is the map showing the location of the celebration and the power of geotag!XD

My comment for this celebration:
This celebration ends up with my mother and 3 more uncles sitting at a table playing "bricks" at the dining room, some of the relatives staying outside don't know doing what, and a few of us staying in the living room singing birthday songs for my grandmother...

2 alphabets... NG! Not even like a real 80th birthday celebration... haiz...

-----xxxxx-----

I ate 2 slices of cake in this celebration, which the aftermath is it makes me feel want to spew. The thickness of the cream... unbelievable!

Overall conclusion:
I wasted another day without doing my assignmentS and redo...OTL
Anyway, I feel good as the map works here... thanks to Google XD
